Summary

In this podcast episode, Sarajane Case, the host of the Enneagram and Coffee podcast, provides guidance on how to start a writing practice. She advises the type Nine listener to begin by building a daily writing practice for oneself, without the intention of others reading it. Sarajane emphasizes the importance of consistency and suggests setting a specific metric, such as a certain number of pages or a designated amount of time, to establish a guideline for the writing practice. She also encourages creating a challenge or reward system to stay motivated and making time to be bored and inspired before writing strategically. -- Thank you to this week's podcast sponsor: Find your forever pieces at jenniekayne.com Our listeners get 15% off your first order when you use code EGRAM at checkout. Hello friends. Welcome back to the podcast. Happy Wednesday. I hope your week is treating me

well so far. You know, I try making bagels this weekend. It's kind of in my attempt at having a

0:40.1

weekend hobby. The thing is our family's not really big on sweets, but I love to bake. I don't

0:46.2

really love to eat sweets. Very rarely do we have a sweet that like our family runs through.

0:52.8

But I love to bake. It's like so fun so relaxing to me. So I thought maybe bagels would be the thing.

So far as of kind of prepping this episode, no one else has eaten one. And it's kind of discouraging

1:08.2

because it's like I work really hard on it, but at the same time it's like a thing that I'm doing

1:11.7

for myself. So it's kind of an interesting phenomenon that I'm running into. But also that's like

1:18.1

I think it's helpful to remember that's not really why I'm doing it as much as I just need

1:22.4

something to do like I want a hobby. But it would be more fun if we were sharing in it together.

1:29.4

You know what I mean? If they like a one they appreciated it. But also like maybe I could get

1:34.8

better at baking bagels. We'll find out to TVD. This batch of bagels went kind of well. Like the

1:43.6

first round I did. So this I will say this all started because I got bombarded with real after

1:50.0

real after real of this one bagel recipe which was like Greek yogurt with flour and that was

1:55.8

the whole recipe. So I tried that on Friday. It was terrible. It was definitely like a diet food

2:03.0

situation. I thought it was just going to be like bagels but like with more protein. It wasn't

2:08.1

like that. It wasn't a bagel at all. It was terrible. It reminded me of like I was having like

2:13.6

flashbacks from diet culture times. But I tried it. It didn't work and it kind of set me on this
