Today's piece is called How to See the Light in the Little Things.

0:28.7

Gratitude, the quality of being able to see the light in the little things.

0:35.4

The benefit of taking time to have gratitude for the little things each day

0:39.3

is that you start to notice different things each day. Even when you enter the same spaces day after day,

0:47.3

there are a million little things that make each space unique. Look closer at your surroundings. Notice what stands out to you. Pay attention to the

1:48.0

Everything from the way the fabric of our clothing is woven to the carved patterns on our lamps has a history.

1:56.0

Everything is connected.

1:58.0

Even the inanimate objects in the rooms we're in have origin stories that we can spend

2:03.0

time getting to know. And here's what happens when we learn to practice gratitude in this way.

2:10.4

When we leave our ordinary everyday spaces, we start to see the rest of the world in a brand

2:15.5

new way. We start to realize that the people and places

2:19.7

we pass each day are not just actors and sets in the background of our lives as we play the

2:25.8

main character. Instead, there is meaning all around us. Everyone has a part in a larger story.

All around, there are people, places, and things worth
