Back, Pastor Mark here, part two of my introduction, overview of the book of Ecclesiastes.

I've got a new book out, Meaningless Life, Life Lessons from Ecclesiastes, one of my favorite

books of the Bible, one that is rarely taught and

is widely misunderstood. Today, I'm coming to you from my home office library studio, so welcome

to my house. And my wife, Grace, is in the other room, so if she pokes her head in, I'll have her say

hi. So, yeah, the backstory

is I wrote Ecclesiastes, you know, sort of devotional exploration. It's very readable, very

practical 10 years ago when my life cratered, unemployed, canceled, mid-40s, moved across the country,

tree fell on my house, my possessions are in it, my reputation is

destroyed. I walked away from a ministry that I had the honor of founding and leading and serving

for 18 years and life was on fire and one of the godfathers of Christian cancel culture

and was studying Ecclesiastes in that season and just felt led by God like, hey, son,

camp here for a bit.

This is the book you need for the season you're in.
