Let's talk about how one would put their autoimmune disease into remission.

0:26.8

Of course, we can't say here, but we can say remission. It's called spontaneous remission.

0:33.2

I've done a lot of videos on autoimmune diseases, but I recently found some fascinating

0:38.7

new information I want to share with you because if you have an autoimmune disease and

0:42.8

you want to put in remission, you need all the data. You need to know this one very important

0:48.7

fact. There's been some recent research finding a huge link between this virus.

0:56.7

Epstein-bar virus and many of the autoimmune diseases. Now, here's the thing. You might

1:04.0

say, well, this doesn't apply to me. Well, guess what? 90% of the population has had

1:11.1

Epstein-bar virus, but here's the thing. The unique thing about the Epstein-bar virus,

1:16.5

that's different from a lot of other viruses. It can go in the remission, it can kind of

1:20.9

go away, and it can also come out of remission. In other words, it goes in this dormancy state

1:27.5

where it just kind of sits there and waits for the right environment. Normally, when your

1:33.8

immune system is exposed to a virus, your immune system fights it off, it develops antibodies,

1:41.4

and now it has an immunity against that virus. But the Epstein-bar virus is different. Epstein-bar

1:50.4

virus has this ability to infect certain immune cells and actually reprogram them and alter

1:58.2

their function. Normally, it's really our own proteins that can turn on or turn off certain

2:05.9

genes. But with this Epstein-bar virus, it can actually bypass that and alter our genes,

2:12.5

unfortunately. So it makes this protein which can bind and control your genes and actually

2:17.4

trigger autoimmune diseases if the right environment occurs. Let me explain what I mean by that.

2:25.2

When we're talking about autoimmune diseases, there's a certain immune cell called the T helper

2:30.9

cell 17 that's always involved in autoimmune diseases. And without trying to get into the

2:37.3

details of that, all you need to know is that this cell can either protect you against autoimmune
