Let's start leveling up your marketing knowledge with

0:14.0

your instructors Neil Patel and Eric Sue.

0:20.1

Today we are going to talk about how to get 50% plus email marketing open rates.

0:26.0

So I'll start first before you go, Neil.

0:28.0

Go for it.

0:29.0

So we actually started a new newsletter called the Growth Weekly newsletter and so my newsletter I think is about

0:34.6

60 70 80,000 people maybe in aggregate but we started a new one that has like 14 or

0:39.5

15,000 people on it and it's just a weekly newsletter just saying, oh, these are the

0:43.0

latest trends, here's the newest content that we put out there. And I think so

0:50.0

million now. Neil, I think you've seen stuff like this in the past too so in this

1:04.9

rate so you send out more emails, this is going to go down.

1:07.7

But there's a few things.

1:08.7

The first one, which is really obvious, is if the content you keep sending out is

1:11.9

sucks, people aren't going to open up your emails. If the content you keep sending out is socks, people aren't going to open up your emails.

1:14.0

If the content you're sending out is amazing, they're going to look forward to it, you're going to get higher open rates.

1:18.0

The next one is the less emails you send out, the better your open rates are versus if you just keep bombarding people like three, four, five times a week.

1:24.8

Then you got scrubbing your list. People keep sending emails to people who don't want it.
