And this week, Jasmine will be speaking once again with psychologist Melanie Joy.

And they will be speaking about Dr. Joy's latest book, How to End Injustice Everywhere,

Understanding the Common Denominator Driving All Injustices to Create a Better World for Humans, Animals, and the Planet.

And I feel like this is a topic. I haven't listened to the interview yet, but I feel this is a topic

that is really one of your topics, the commonalities among all forms of injustice and unfairness,

that this has always been a really interesting subject for you. Totally. And I'll tell you something

that I find fascinating. When I interviewed Dr. Joy, I actually did two back-to-back interviews with her.

One was for our henhouse with a vegan lens, of course, which I'll get back to that in a second.

But I also was able to interview her on this book, a completely different set of questions,

like pretty much no overlap, maybe a little overlap, but not much, for connections,

which is the talk show where I sometimes fill in as a host at WXXI.

That hasn't aired yet.

But I guess my point is that there is so much here.

And the fact that, as you just said in your intro, this kind of mentality can be applied across the board is fascinating to me.

Because ultimately I consider myself a social justice activist.

It is, of course, led by my passion for animal rights,

but I think that animal rights encompasses a plethora of social justice causes.

So I don't look at it as just one thing.
