created this owed to the hard work and surprising danger found in the life of a grave digger.

And they met some real life practitioners of the trade.

When I think of a grave digger, I see an old English churchyard in the twilight.

Greenleaf and Greystone full of eerie life.

A man digging, made of mud and yew tree.

Hamlet and every shio come into the churchyard.

A grotesque passing time, till Hamlet arrives to say his lines.

Had this fellow no feeling of his business?

He sings in grave-making custom has made it in him a property of easiness. Tis he himself. The gravediggers sees through us, through our passions and vanities to the bones beneath.
