One day I was walking around the house and I looked out the window. I saw a lion pacing around the backyard.

Eventually he makes it over to the other side of the house, the side that no one walks on.

And he does another lap and another lap. And I'm like, what is he doing? His mouth is moving.

So I'm like, okay, he's talking to himself maybe. When he comes back inside, he looks happy. He has some rest on his face.

And I'm asking him, hey, what are you doing?

He told me he was praying.

And I've seen him do this a couple times since that one interaction.

Everyone else in the house is inside.

Everyone's doing their own thing.

And he's outside doing that.

I don't know where he got this from.

Maybe he saw me do it.

Maybe he saw his mom do it.

But he has done three things in his life

to keep his mind and his heart

and his life from being uncrowded.

And those three things I see in him

and I also see in Matthew chapter 13,

verses one through two in the life of Jesus. What

Lion is doing is he's creating space. He's making sure that he's heard by God through prayer.

And then also he's resting. Now Matthew 13, 1 through 2, it says that same day, Jesus went out
