I deleted my last video because I didn't really explain well what it means to be living in isolation.

Isolation is different from solitude.

Jesus sought solitude to get along with God. We need to do that. But living a life of isolation,

even living a prolonged season of isolation really warrants the question, how is my relationship with God? Am I really a Christian?

Because Jesus has saved us to be in community. Now, even when Paul was in prison, he had the community of people visiting him, you know, and in writing to him or Barnabas with him in jail,

or him converting prison guards.

Even when he was on house arrest,

he had people visiting him and riding him.

He still had community.

Community is so important for the life of a Christian.

So in this video, we're gonna talk about the three ways

to make Christian friends.

If you have no friends, if you feel like you're struggling in that area, you're going to be helped today. One of my biggest regrets in my life is I broke the heart of my best friend. You know, and it wasn't Lockelawny. It was before I met Lockelawny. It was when I was in high school. And I did something to him that hurt him so bad.

I was never, like we were ever, we're never able to rekindle our friendships.

Like we're cordial.

We know each other still, but it'll never be the same.

And I really regret that because I really loved him. And I asked myself for many years, because I think about it, you know, weekly

still, what would make me do such a thing? And it was this really poor, just anxious attachment

problem in my heart that wanted to push away the people in my life before they had a chance

to push me away. That's what it was. I was thinking that everyone valuable, everyone that I people in my life before they had a chance to push me away.

That's what it was. I was thinking that everyone valuable, everyone that I loved in my life is eventually going to leave me, so I better push them away first.

And so I want to talk to you about the need for friendship and then we'll get into the three ways to make Christian friends and then the actual solution to do that.
