Hello, good morning and welcome back to Morning Ray.

0:09.4

I'm your host, Lan or Alana.

0:11.5

This week's episode is all about financials and budgeting, specifically in your 20s and

0:18.1

more so targeted towards if maybe you are looking to move out on your own or you've

0:25.2

recently moved out or maybe you've lived out on your own for a while and you need some assistance

0:31.7

in managing your financials and your budgeting, etc. I would like to preface. I am not a financial advisor. I feel like that's

0:39.8

not that shocking. I personally don't like to follow a strict budget as I find that makes me feel

0:46.8

really restrictive with money and have a negative mindset with money. And I really like to keep a

0:53.7

positive relationship with money. I love to think in abundance.

0:57.2

I'm really a firm believer of what I spend will come back to me. The money will flow back to me.

It will flow to me. I attract money. Like I very much practice those money mantras. And I've got into the point where I know approximately how much I feel

1:13.4

comfortable spending each month outside of my rent and utilities so I don't feel the need to

1:17.7

have a very specific to a tea. This is what I'm spending on dining out. This is what I'm spending

1:23.3

on clothes, activities, etc. each month. That works great for some people. For me, it just

1:28.6

fosters a negative and restrictive relationship with money. And that stresses me out and doesn't

1:34.7

make me feel great. So I personally don't do that. If you're looking for that, this is not the

1:38.4

episode for you. I do have a previous episode from probably like two years ago now where we talk a bit more about

1:45.6

like having a more structured budget and I'll link that in the show notes for you guys

1:51.5

and there's a template there but this is personally going to be what I do and a lot of things

1:57.5

that I did at the start of moving out to really just be cautious on when I was

2:02.5

spending but maintain a very much healthy relationship with money and continue to foster that

2:11.0

mindset.
