And on today's episode, I really want to focus on the word financial independence.

And there's a couple of misnomer's about what financial independence, I mean, really is.

I want to really define it and then make it feel really visceral to you.

Like, what does it mean to you?

Then I'm going to give you some steps,

the stages that I went through to achieve financial independence. That's what we're going to be

talking about today. Well, let's dive in to this word financial independence. There's been movements

around it, the fire movement. There's been so many ways that people describe it. They think that the nirvana is, yes,

let me become financially free so I can do whatever I want. I can live on a beach. Yeah. For those

of you that work hard enough to become financially independent and financially free,

that's not the end goal. That's just the beginning. Your life takes on a totally different look,

a totally different feel once all of your bills are paid for. I always equated to saying,

I'm playing with house money because all of a sudden my bills are paid for. And that's not

the impetus of me getting up every day and going to work at my restaurant

years ago and just trying to pay the bills, trying to get through the day.

At that point, I was working hard for my money.

Those of you who want to become financially independent, you need to do that.

You need to work hard for your money.
