Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible,

chapter by chapter, book by book.

On our last searchlight program, we began looking at a short but powerful sermon in Acts

Chapter 14. This sermon by the Apostle Paul was preached to the people of Listra. They were people

who worshipped idols and even thought that Paul and Barnabas were gods who came to visit them.

As we join our teaching today, Paul is telling them that they should turn from worshipping idols

and turn to worshipping the creator of all things. With our teaching, here now is Pastor John.

He says, turn from these vanities, these idols, and turn to the living God which made heaven and earth and the sea and all the

things that are there and hey don't you understand he says to these men of Listern

turn to the Creator the heavens declare the glory of God, and they do, truly.

The reality of God is seen all around us in nature, in creation, in the stars overhead.

Everywhere you look, you can see proof of the fact of a creative, intelligent being. Look around, men of Listera.

Worship the God who created all things. The Bible says the fool has said in his heart,
