Some of the most powerful sermons can be very short.

We will see that today as we look at one of the

Apostle Paul's sermons in Acts chapter 14. And in the first part of this sermon, Paul is talking

about the futility of worshiping idols. At first glance, this may not appear to relate to us,

but it can directly apply to our lives.

Let's now join Pastor John for our study and learn about the futility of idolatry.

It is true that the strength of a sermon is not necessarily based upon the length of a sermon.

Now you're saying, we know that, John.

The question is, do you?

Well, oftentimes, the most powerful sermons can be said in a relatively few amount of words. I think of my boy Benjamin. Benjamin and

Mary decided to write David and Abby letters. Now when they do this, Mary being five and

Ben being four, not yet knowing how to write, give dictation to Tammy.

And so Mary began to dictate her letter to Tammy.
