Over the past couple of Searchlight programs, we have been looking at a short but powerful sermon in Acts

Chapter 14. Paul preached this sermon to the men of Listra who were worshipping idols. In only a

couple of sentences, Paul gave a masterful three-point sermon. In his first point, Paul told them to

turn away from the foolishness of worshipping idols and instead

worship the Creator. In his next point, Paul told them that God is a God of love, and in his love,

God does not force himself on a world who is rejecting him. Let's now join Pastor John as he

shares with us the final and very important point of Paul's sermon.

Look at the third verse, the last point of Paul's sermon.

First he says, consider God who is creator.

Secondly, consider God who is a lover.

He allows people and nations to go their own ways even though it breaks his heart.

Nevertheless, verse 17, he is not only creator and lover, but he is provider.

He left not himself without witness in that he did good and gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts
