Summary

Ryan has been selling an NFT that isn’t about the art or wild speculation or hype… it is really a community and a mastermind group.

The NFT serves as a token that grants you access to the community and it is a token you can always sell to anyone else whenever you’d like.

After taking inspiration from Gary Vaynerchuk, Ryan realized that this new asset class can serve many purposes that others haven’t considered and in this podcast he explains what the Capitalist Pig project is all about.

So it's 2023 and you're like, what? We can half a million dollars selling NFTs. It's a

0:09.3

bare market. Besides, NFTs are scams anyway, so how could you get away with not scabbing people?

0:14.7

Well, hang on, stick with me. I want to tell you a story. Back in 2020, when the whole world was

0:19.9

shut down, I first started hearing about

0:22.2

non-fundurable tokens, NFTs. And it started with NBA top shots and people trading digital

0:29.3

stuff, right? And I thought it was pretty cool to see all of these people who were just flipping

0:33.7

stuff. It was a cool distraction, but really I didn't think anything of it. And the more that the market developed, I honestly thought that it was looking scammier and

0:42.2

scammer. But then Gary Vaynerchuk started to get really loud about NFTs, and he started to

0:48.4

tease the NFT project that he was going to be releasing. Now, I've sat down one-on-one with Gary

Vee a handful of times. I find him to be releasing. Now, I've sat down one-on-one with Gary V a handful of times.

I find him to be an incredibly genuine and incredibly intelligent person. He's also a visionary.

1:01.5

He sees several years out. He sees what a lot of people cannot see. And I've learned based on both

1:07.1

consuming Gary's content and also getting to know him a little bit to pay attention

1:12.2

when he's really bullish on a trend. He's not always right, but when he's right, he's really

1:17.6

right. But contrast that with me, who is so not a crypto guy. I've been bearish on Bitcoin for

1:25.5

years. That changed in 2020 for reasons outside this video,

1:29.8

but I pretty much bought Bitcoin at the top, sold at the bottom, bought it again at the top.

1:36.1

I mean, I am not the guy to go to when it comes to crypto advice. So I've been kind of

1:41.0

anti-crypto for most of my career. And meanwhile, somebody that I look up to

1:45.9

is really optimistic about this crypto-based technology called NFTs. Then Gary launched V-Friends,

1:54.0

which, by the way, I thought was the weirdest project I had ever seen. I just thought it was

2:00.1

bizarre and awkward and honestly
