Today we're talking again with Dan from Crop swap. This is our final episode with Dan and we get the most high level you can possibly get.

How do you set yourself up for success,

both in your garden and then how do those lessons

translate to your normal life?

And I really do feel that the parallels between gardening and life

are so, so applicable to us because you know

we are living creatures we are cultivating living creatures when we're gardening so it

stands to reason that there would be quite a bit of overlap there in the skill sets and how they might apply to our lives.

So let's go ahead and get into this final episode with Dan from Crop swap.

Setting yourself up for success in your garden and then let's go a

step further because that's kind of been the theme of this week is how does that also

then set you up in your life? Well I think there's a lot of, I guess you could call them hacks, but you know, the people don't understand

in the early stages of a garden, But when you have a smart system,

you just reduce likelihood of all these other problems.

We talked about having a vibrant soil in our discussion about soil and how important that is and how that reduces the likelihood of pest attacks and insects.

But even little tweaks, like I know you know this from square foot gardening, like, you know, make sure there's a water spigot

close to your garden because just from a psychological standpoint you are more

likely to to water your garden every day if you don't have to lug a five gallon bucket to your thing.

You know, another thing Square for Garding talks about is, you know, put your garden close to your house.

This is something that a lot of people kind of don't do.

They'll put it on the other side of their yard, but if it's like 7 o'clock on Sunday night and you're tired, you might not walk over there to do the thing.
