Oh man, let's talk today about landscaping careers.

I know this sounds a little esoteric sounds a little out there but I was contacted by the National Association of Landscape Professionals and you know there's so much to this field that they shared with me that I wanted to share with you. I don't know about you, but I grew up watching dirty jobs on the, I think, the Discovery Channel with the one and only Mike Rowe and I fell in love with that show.

There's so many jobs out there that you just don't think about as jobs and I would have to

say being a gardener and someone who actually does work outside for a living in many senses of that word

There's so much to the landscape industry.

because there's so much to this field and I think the

trade jobs in general are chronically undervalued in our culture and in our society and also simply

as a way to make a living as a human being. There's so many different things

that you can do that don't involve sitting in an office working behind a

computer or just doing something generally speaking that you don't enjoy that much.

So nothing against those jobs, but I did feel that it might be good to use this platform to talk about

some other paths for your career that might be perhaps a bit more fulfilling, especially if you're someone who already likes to grow plants.

The first question we're going to answer in today's show is what exactly is a landscape professional? Well, there's just basically a landscape professional.

Well, there's just basically a desperate need to keep places maintained.

Whether that's indoors or outdoors, plants are all around us.

They're invigorating our environments environments and landscapers have a significant ecological impact in the area where they're located.

They bring green spaces to us, the common public, whether that's you know an office staff who arranges landscaping at work, or urban
