Well, hello there. It's Morgan here and welcome to today's episode. This is episode three of three,

where I have been sharing a poem from my new book. You are only just beginning, unpacking it,

and leaving you with the question that you can carry with you as you prepare for whatever lies ahead. I mentioned this on the previous two episodes,

but you are going to hear a little bit of room sound in this episode because this was my first time

ever trying to record audio and video at the same time. That was a whole experience. It took a very

long time. But I do believe that

you'll still be able to enjoy the episode despite the little sounds here and there. Thank you so

much for joining me for today's episode. I am so glad you're here. Let's dive in. Where can you

build in a pause today?

That is the question that I'm asking in this poem.

As you venture out into new depths,

let silence be your serenade.

You have become accustomed to clatter and chatter of busy people doing busy things.

But I promise you, if you stay with the silence, you will recognize that your soul was made for the deep.

I intentionally added a little bit more silence after finishing that that I originally

anticipated because even in reading that, I recognize my tendency to go to the next thing.

I had prepared to read the poem and then talk about it prepared to read the poem and then talk about it.

So read the poem and then talk about it. But in finishing the poem, I recognize, what if I just

let myself create a little bit more room for silence. And even as I record this now, I'm not sure if my microphone is picking it up,

but I can hear something on the other side of my window that sounds a lot like rain. And it is

becoming harder and harder even in this moment to consider staying with the silence. And that is

why I ask the question, where can you build in a pause
