Hello, all my theology geek friends.

Welcome back to Sochiology 101.

Today we're going to be confronting, not Calvinist, but we're going to be confronting

Armenians.

And guess what? We can do that while

still loving and respecting our Armenian friends. You see there on the screen next to me is a man

that I have actually played on the program before in favor of a perspective that we hold to,

but today I'm going to actually be playing him as representative of the typical Armenian perspective with regard to pervenient grace.

This is Dr. Matt O'Reilly, who is a scholar.

I love the guy.

I think he does a great job.

In fact, there's a link in the show notes to his video and thus to his podcast.

And I would highly recommend you go and subscribe to it if you haven't already. And so I hope he

appreciates the fact that I am going to critique him in love and hopefully iron is going to

sharpen iron here. He may respond to me or he may write me or he may say, man, you're wrong and

here's why and I may learn something. And I am open to learning something

from Dr. O'Reilly because I think he is a scholar. And I think I can learn something from him,

just like I can learn some things from my Calvinistic buddies as well. So hopefully you will take this

with a spirit that I deliver it. And hopefully you all will understand where I'm coming from once

we get to the end of this program. Because as we've talked about before, one of the things that I think is a common problem

with the Calvinistic vantage point is that it and the Armenian vantage point starts with the

wrong presupposition. And that is the presupposition that we are not born responsible creatures. We are not born able to respond to the offer of salvation unless God
