Mariners lose out in an opportunity to build on momentum by dropping two of three to the White

Sox in an ugly series over the weekend. Now, they're going to have a four-game series against

a team with the worst pitching staff and bullpen in all of baseball, the Houston Astros.

But there's still some problems here to talk about. So let's have some uncomfortable

conversations about uncomfortable questions. And I don't mean just should you

move Cal back from fourth to fifth, which I would be curious to see. I mean a question that I've

gotten a couple times on the text line, which is, do you bench Cal? That's an uncomfortable question.

So I have a few more, and I have some that people were sending in.

You can keep sending a few.

But I want, like, to the point questions.

Ones that you're like, I'm genuinely wondering the answer to this, and it makes me nervous.

You know, is this team not going to make the playoffs?

Like that kind of like, hey, my panic's a little high right now

so we'll get to the Cal question actually no let's start with that because I wanted to ask you

about your transition from being deeply irritated with this team and yelling at the TV to feeling

a little bit better.

But I think that's going to come up later naturally.
