Republicans in the Senate dumped a whole load of, you know what, a whole load of bull manure on their fellow Republicans in the House just in time for Christmas, all bundled up in a big piling, steamy pile of omnibus.

Eighteen Republican senators were bought off by earmarks.

Money that sent specifically to their districts for self-serving projects and

conservative House members were livid.

But there was nothing they could do about it.

They were in the minority for a couple of weeks, but it would have been great if they could

have determined spending, if they could have put a halt on some of these Democratic policies,

if they could have brought down the $1.7 trillion price tag, if they could have pushed some Republican initiatives like

energy independence, selling some of our gas and oil overseas more than we are right now,

funding for Ukraine, studying that a little bit more? There were so many things that the House Republicans could have done, and they said, why not? Just put it off? Just put it off to do a temporary spending bill to get us through to January. Fight for it Senate Republicans, but the Senate Republicans were paid off one by one

by one. Merry Christmas. So there was nothing but the House Republicans could do, but yell about it.

And we had 18 Republicans who joined with Democrats in the Senate,

get on their fancy planes and go home, and we're sitting here trying to do the work of the people.

Not spend money we don't have, not drive up more inflation, not have 7,500 earmarks for

$16 billion for pet leftist projects across this country.

Yeah, those earmarks, those earmarks are ridiculous.

That set a new record for earmarks.

I've never heard of that many in a spending bill.

Everybody got a gift. And the reason it was 4,000 pages,

and the reason it was 4,000 pages is because congressmen were coming to the Senate offices

and putting in pages of stuff they wanted.
