It seems over the past two years, there hasn't been too much high-profile coaching movement

at some of the top jobs in college football.

But heading into 2025, we may actually have more high-profile coaches and high-profile places

feeling the heat than we have had in a long time.

I don't like talking about guys potentially getting fired, especially being in the

business previously, but it's the reality in this league, and with high salaries come high

expectations. There are tears to the proverbial hot seat as well. Some coaches may be starting to

feel a low burn, but others are scorching and starting to sweat. Let's just look at the SEC, for example.

It seems like Billy Napier at Florida, Hugh Fries at Auburn, and Mark Stubes at Kentucky,

and possibly Sam Pittman at Arkansas, have to win now. And this can be Coach Pittman's last year

regardless, but if it isn't, he's got to win. Then you have coaches who need to restore the faith, like Brian Kelly at LSU, Kaelin de Bois

Alabama, and Brent Venables at Oklahoma.

Looking around the country, it's been announced Ryan Day will be back next year at Ohio State,

but I wouldn't say his seat is exactly chilly right now.
