Hello, everyone. Welcome back to another episode of Real Talk with Rachel Autry, where I love to help you delight in life and find joy right where you are. And I normally, I'll say majority of the time, have a woman on the show with me. But you know, you know, there was a season a few months ago where we had several men in a row. And y'all said said those were some of your favorite episodes and that meant

so much to me and so whenever I got this particular man pitched to my email to be on the show today,

I need you to know, I squealed. I had a moment where little Rachel listening to his sermon

tapes in my dad's car growing up actually lost her mind. And so I'm so excited

to bring him and his wisdom to you today from the one and only Dr. Tony Evans. If you are

unfamiliar with Dr. Tony Evans, like I said, he is an original. He has been here for a very long time,

has written over 150 books. Dr. Tony Evans has

online ministry resources that can be mailed to you. He has preached. He has traveled. He has

seen a lot of life. At 76 years old, you can only imagine how much sits in this man's heart

in his mind. And he is being so kind

and wise and generous with us today to share a lot of it. I need you to know, do you see these right now?

I took so many notes, which I really rarely do in podcasts because I like just to sit, lean back,

soak it all in. But he was just spitting so much truth and one-liners and sticky statements

that I was like, wait, wait, wait, say that again. Writing this down, so incredible. I don't know

if I've ever leaned into something that him and his family have said, but I left the same.

And so here's the exciting news for you today. When you listen to this episode,

be on the hunt for what God is trying to do in and through your heart and your mind just by listening

to this man's wisdom. He is the dad of several different individuals, all incredible people.

Priscilla Shire, you might know, my friend Crystal Evans Hurst, you might know. I just was on her podcast and she was here on ours. And it is just a great family. And so to be able to have the patriarch of a family here with us, I just, I mean, I don't know if you can tell it. I'm geeking out a little bit. I'm very excited about this. So lean in, get excited. I would say this is just two girls is trying to figure out life right alongside you like we typically do, but that's just the truth. It's me and Dr. Tony Evans figuring out life right alongside you because that's what friends are for, right? He has some incredible things that he's sharing with us today all about what is the kingdom of God? How does it actually apply to our lives? What if our

priorities are a little out of whack? How are we going to see that and feel that? What do we do

do about it? How do we find the alignment that we know we're supposed to live into? What is our

agenda vocationally in ministry, in family, in relationships, in church, in government? With all
