I'm Mary Meckley and I welcome you to an episode that will have you keeping focused on the present moment.

This is one of the most important things you could do for yourself when you sit down to meditate.

This week I challenged you to spend a little more time focusing on your

intuition, listening to your inner wisdom. And in yesterday's episode, I shared with you

a concept about listening to your heart first and then settling down your heart's emotions and then allowing

yourself to experience clarity mentally. This is one of the best ways to stay focused.

Once you calm your heart's emotions, then you can mentally focus.

And today's technique I'm going to share with you goes right along with that.

You will have the option today to focus on what's called a chakra.

Chakras are areas in your body where you harbor certain emotions.

And it's believed there are seven chakras or more.

Some people focus on fewer.

Some people focus on more.

But it's pretty much agreed upon.

In many of the Eastern cultures, such as India and China and Japan and other Asian cultures,

where there is an emphasis on chakras, it's pretty much agreed upon there are seven energy centers.

And I want to focus on the fifth chakra as you do your meditation today.

That is where your true inner wisdom can be revealed.

It's when you are silent and have this deep sense of inner peace.
