Good morning, family, and happy Mother's Day. My name is Ryan Wester, and I have the joy and honor as serving as the director over home groups here at TBC. So shout out to all my home groups and home group

leaders. Um, there was a time of my life when I experienced hopelessness, um, abandonment,

um, didn't have belonging and just a lot of self-destruction. But because of a beautiful savior,

Jesus, I now experience family. Y'all are family.

And I get to walk in hope every single day. Our passage today is Psalm 128 versus 1 through 4.

How happy is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways. You will surely eat what your hands have worked for. You will be happy and it will go well for you. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house. Your children like young olive trees around your table. In this very way, the man who fears the Lord

will be blessed. This is the word of the Lord. Thank you. Hey, good to see you. If you have your

Bibles, go ahead and grab them. You don't have one. There's a hardback

black one somewhere around you that you can open. This will be our passage. I plan on kind of

addressing every one of these passages or every one of these verses in this passage. Let me start

by maybe addressing the elephant in the room. We are doing or ending our series on biblical

masculinity on Mother's Day. So like it's Mother's Day and I'm doing a sermon about men.

And so let me give you the why behind the what. One, I mean absolutely no dishonor by that, ladies. Two things. The first would be, and I have not, I have intentionally not put this data in a sermon yet. I have referenced it. I have not given you just how dark it is for your own encouragement.

But what we know is the most dangerous soul-stealing, life-sucking person on earth for women

and children, according to the data and the Bible, is a foolish or evil man.

And in the same way, the best thing, the most life-giving thing, the most encouraging thing

for women and children in particular is a man who fears the Lord.

And so you have been in view for me in and around this whole series. That's primary. Secondarily, Mother's Day actually has more men here than any other

weekend of the year, which I think says something.

And so those are my two reasons why here we are on Mother's Day talking about men.
