All right. Here we are again, Jacob Hanson, Bill Real.

We are doing, at least now, we're in the second one, so I think we can say we're doing a series called honest conversations about faith with the person there on the

screen with me, Jacob Hansen and myself, Bill Real. This will be the second session that we've done.

The first one we did was on morality. I would encourage people to go back and check that out.

I thought it was a great conversation off the air. I was talking to you and saying that,

you know, I think you're very intelligent, very articulate.

I felt like we both had a chance to share our points of view, and I felt like the audience had the opportunity to, to listen to those and to weigh those kind of against each other and for us to better know kind of where the other stood.

So here we are in session two where we're going to talk about

faith crises. And you brought this topic up. It's a topic I'm obviously, I deeply

am passionate about. I've read numerous books outside of Mormonism on the topic and studied lots of

experts in this field of kind of cognitive development and what's going on. You know,

the easiest one is James Fowler in stages of faith. But Fowler is really just looking at it from a

religious aspect. And there are other folks, Robert Goulitch and Janet Hagberg, Margaret

Placentra Johnson. Robert Keely is another one, Thomas McConkey within Mormonism, but looking at kind of how the brain changes as we enter adulthood and beyond.

And what is really going on inside those mental processes that cause us to think about our religious beliefs differently and for some folks to have a faith crisis.

And so I'll turn the time over to you, Jacob. You can give any introduction again that you'd want to give. And then I'd like you,

and maybe give me a minute just to say something in terms of introduction. And then I'd like you to

open up the topic by, because you presented this topic as something that wanted, that you wanted to

cover. And you said it, when you typed out, like, how you, what it was you wanted to cover,

you said like faith crises, what they are and whatever it is, it's not exactly what people think

it is, something along those lines. I'm adding way too many words, but something along those lines.

And I'm really curious what that is so that we can sort of begin then to dive into it.
