We're going to talk right now about one of the most controversial passages of the entire Bible.

People are in a lot of trouble over this passage in particular and even nowadays, even recently a pastor going to court because he

taught from this passage up in Canada. Obama called this the obscure passage in the book of Romans and he said and I quote

that it's not central to his faith and pro-gay ministries reinterpret this passage in a wild variety of ways.

And even though this passage is going to deal with homosexuality, it's not primarily about homosexuality but since we're at sort of a

watershed issue in our culture right now and how you stand on this one issue

reveals how you're gonna handle a lot of stuff in life.

We're going to patiently look through specifically what is Romans one teach us about

homosexuality.

This is a clear teaching of the Bible that goes completely against modern cultural norms.

Modern cultural norms.

And in this case, modern cultural norms are very misguided, harmful to people, and they need to change.

And I'm going to say, do something, something very bold in our culture today.

I'm going to say, the Bible's right, people are wrong.

But let's look into it and let's try to look for clarity and understanding of what

does Romans 1 teach on this topic.

So first, just to back up slightly, Romans 1 verse 18 it says this

for the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men

who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.

Now this is like a review because this verse is sort of a capsule statement, a summary statement

of what everything at the rest of the chapter of Romans 1 deals with, 18 all the way through the

end of the chapter and on into chapter 2 and 3. It's an indictment against humanity.
