Tonight we're going to deal with a very big question, which is how do we know that there really is a God?

And to put it the way that somebody asked me when I was much younger, they said,

what about the Pygmy's, Mike? what about the Pygmy,

in Africa who is no exposure to the Bible, no exposure to Christianity?

How would that person know that there's a God?

And we're doing this because it's in Romans 1,

it actually teaches about this issue.

But we're going to look at Romans 1,

then we'll look at evidence for God

and we'll see how to answer the question,

apart from the Bible or modern science, what tells us that there's a God?

I say apart from modern science, because modern science has actually added to the evidence that there is a Creator.

And the Bible certainly obviously offers its own support for this.

But what if you didn't have either of those things?

I mean, do all people really know that there's a God?

And what sort of guilt could a person have

if they'd never heard the gospel if they'd not been exposed to it specifically

so what does the scripture say about this and then how does that pan out as we look at real life outside of those experiences.

So Romans 1, verse 18, that's where we're going to start.
