answering a listener's question all about how to find your decorating style.

Kalin writes, I graduated from college in spring of 2020 and moved in with my

now husband. Once we moved in we had to combine all of our belongings and we ended up with all sorts of

mismatched furniture from our families who couldn't wait to get rid of the things

they've been keeping in storage. I really want to create a home that we can truly feel at home in.

However, we still haven't figured out what our style is.

your question and I love it because it's proactive. All too often on this

podcast we're retroactive

and that we are decluttering our past mistakes, essentially.

But your question is about making smart purchasing decisions

at the outset to hopefully reduce the need to let go of those items
