Well, hello and welcome back to the Unbothered Blonde's podcast. Today you're going to have myself,

Randa Karaba, and my husband. Grant Karaba. And so today we're going to be talking all about home

building. And to give you a little bit of backstory, Grant and I just moved into our second home

that we have built together. And Grant technically is a home builder, but it's not his

main or the primary part of his job. He's actually a real estate developer that develops

neighborhoods, subdivisions, industrial parks, commercial properties and such. But in some of the

neighborhoods and subdivisions, there will be challenged lots that are harder lots to sell

or that builders don't want to purchase from him or they may not be, you know, the cream of the crop

first pick lot. And so that's when Grant will then go on and build a spec home so that they can

get their profit out of the lot by selling it with the spec home already on there. So Grant up to now has built.

How many houses, honey?

I think this is my 34th house to build.

Wow.

So 34 homes.

So by no means is he, you know, the top of the cream of the crop of home builders.

And that's not, again, like I said, the primary of his job, but he does he does have you know a good bit of experience behind

his belt right now I've been doing this for about 12 years now I don't build a lot maybe one or two

maybe possibly three homes a year tops it's not my primary job but you know I've built just enough to

know what I'm doing but not enough to know what I'm doing if that makes sense.

So like I said, this is Mining Grant's second home that we just moved in, that we built together.
