Hi, my name is John Kim and I'm a therapist who went through his own

rebirth. I share my feelings and revelations. I believe in casual or

clinical and with you instead of at you. I come unrehearsed on

purpose because self-help doesn't have to be so complicated. My first girlfriend had an abortion and we were in our early 20s and I just I can't

imagine at that age me raising a child definitely wasn't ready

I'm not saying that people in their 20s can't raise children our parents did right

but just for myself, just thinking like if I had had that child, he or she

would be attending college now. We'd be having conversations about what college

he or she wants to go to and knowing me I probably try to talk my son or daughter out

of it. Then when I was married I really wanted to have a kid and then she didn't and then she

wanted to have a kid and then I didn't and so the timing didn't sink up but if it did sink up I'd have a

son or daughter in probably junior high and of course I'd probably be having the

birds and bees conversation but I don't even know if they have those anymore, do they?

I guess the birds and bees conversation is called the internet. But here's the thing.

Now I know that and I'm not trying to be all cocky or I'm not trying to be arrogant

but I I do believe that I will be a good dad once we're able to have conversations, you know, I know that I'll take her out for pancakes and ask her adult questions that she's not ready to answer and I will be there I will

take her seriously I will treat her like like an adult when she's three.

And I'll be there to process her broken heart.

Teach her to be heard, to be kind,

to love her body, and encourage her to be whoever she wants.

I know these things because my training ground for about
