Hey, hey, everybody, it's Robeservation time. It is time once again for another installment of Rob

Observations. I am Rob Lefeld. I am taking you on this crazy journey that I started when I started

pulling off comic books from the spinner rack in 1974, 1974, 1975, that this became my

passion, and I have been all about the comic books ever since. I wanted to write them. I wanted to

draw them. I really had no other choice. Wasn't going to be a lawyer. It wasn't going to be a doctor.

Wasn't going to be a plumber wasn't going to be a doctor, wasn't going to be a plumber,

uh, comics were pretty much my entire option in terms of some sort of career path. So they have provided me great escape, great inspiration. Uh, they have moved me deeply. I love

the, the, the language of comic books. I don't need a comic book to be a movie to love it. I just love it. I love the language of comic books.

I don't need a comic book to be a movie to love it.

I just love it because it's a comic book.

It gave me an entry point with which to unleash my imagination on pages,

follow in the footsteps of the people who I loved so much like Jack Kirby,

like Frank Miller,

like John Byrne, like so many who came before. We have spent so many episodes walking and talking about comic books, how they affect pop culture. I say time and again, the past informs the future,

and boy, does it ever.

And in the last installment, we started a multi-part walk through the history of an enormous event that hit the comic books industry that I was fortunate to be a part of, called Heroes Reborn.

The Heroes Reborn event came about, as we covered, quick recap, from Marvel

Comics wanting to get their longtime Marvel icons, the ones that were there when they launched.

Captain America, who they had brought back from Simon and Kirby's vision and installed him into the Avengers lineup, which made the Avengers

even more cool when the Avengers launched an issue, you know, for, they grabbed Cap and he

becomes, for the rest of time, part of their legacy and their lineup. The Fantastic Four,
