Summary

This week, we are talking about important reasons why you should consider stepping outside your comfort zone, challenging yourself, and trying something new and scary. When I first began this podcast, I was terrified to try something new, and yet I have learned and grown so much through this experience and I am so glad I pushed myself. Snippet From the Show “The world offers you comfort. But you were not made for comfort. You were made for greatness”― Pope Benedict XVI For episode shownotes, text GIRLFRIENDS to 33-777 or visit www.ascensionpress.com/girlfriends.

living. This week we are talking about why you need to get out of your

0:22.1

comfort zone. I've got five different ideas that I want to share with you and I can't wait to

0:26.2

get started. Let's go.

Hey girlfriend, thank you so much for being here. How fun that we get to connect right here

0:41.5

on the podcast every week. Thanks for showing up. So this week, as I was sitting down to record,

0:47.0

I was reflecting on the fact that things have really changed in my life since I first ever

0:53.3

recorded a podcast. And the way that I record has

0:56.8

changed. I used to go out in the driveway in my parked car to record because my house was so

1:04.9

chaotic and noisy. And I never had a quiet moment where I could count on to record. And so that was, so this coming January,

1:12.7

it will be seven years since I started this podcast, which is crazy. I can't believe it's

1:18.4

been that long. And yet things have really changed so much that I can believe that it's been that

1:24.0

long. So these days, I don't generally need to go out into my car in the driveway

1:29.5

to get a quiet moment. Like I was just thinking as I sat down to record this one, that I'm actually

1:35.2

alone in my house right now. And let me tell you, as a work from home, homeschooling mom for

1:40.7

almost 25 years, okay, that doesn't happen. Like when you're a homeschooler,

1:48.3

you kind of get used to the idea that you were never alone in your house. I remember being

1:52.5

fascinated by women whose kids would go to school and they were at home moms and I'd be like,

1:57.8

oh my gosh, what must that be like to be alone in your house and you can

2:02.2

just like get caught up on housework or or actually like focus on, you know, what you're going to
