Summary

The Church is in trouble, and we feel powerless in the face of this evil, but we are not powerless. I have been spending some time thinking and praying about what we can DO, actually DO to help save our Church and I am sharing them here today: Pray for, encourage, and support our good priests. (8:00) Renew your family prayer life, especially with the Rosary and devotions to Mary, and talk to your family about the needs of the Church. Prayer is not a passive approach, it is healing and empowering. (16:07) Take action. You can do good things in your parish community. If you see anything in your own parish, it is your job to ask questions. (23:44) Tell me how you are coping and what you are doing to take positive action to do good things in our wounded Church. 0:43.3	Hey, girlfriends. How are you? Thanks for being here. Thanks for joining me for another episode of the Girlfriends podcast. You know I'm always glad when we can connect in this way. I am sitting out in my tiki hut.
0:48.8	I'm counting down how many more recordings I'll be able to do out here before. It's just too cold and
0:54.2	miserable out. But enjoying still New Hampshire summer. It's actually really warm and we're going
0:59.5	to have a really warm week despite the fact that the kids are back in school and we're doing
1:02.9	back to school fall kinds of schedules. It's going to be a heat wave apparently for the coming
1:08.3	week. So bracing for that. I've got my towels on the line, still fully
1:13.0	embracing the joys of the fleeting moments of New Hampshire summer. I just know all too soon we'll
1:18.6	be buried in snow, ice cold temperatures, yick. Anyway, we're getting into a routine around here,
1:25.0	and I hope you are too. Change is hard, and this is a season
1:28.3	of change for many people saying goodbye. I've had my moments in the past couple of weeks, but more than
1:33.8	that, I've had my moments feeling really down, feeling really upset about what's going on in our church.
1:43.4	And I know you have to, because you've been telling me.
1:47.8	You've been connecting on social media. You've been reaching out. You've been responding to my
1:51.5	Instagram posts. You've been sending me messages on Facebook. I know people are really struggling
1:57.6	right now. And so that's why I decided to take on this topic. My daughter asked me recently, my oldest daughter, if I was going to be talking about all the
2:06.9	garbage going on in the church and all the scandal and not just scandal, but cover up of scandal,
