The I'm Christopher Titus, and this is the Armageddon update.

Stock market crashed. Well, maybe not a crash, but a little

fender matter. The U.S. economy has been rear-ended again, and the people that run this country

are definitely to blame. The Congress and the Senate have bent the future of America over the

kitchen table and are currently doing a Jody Foster rape film impression. In the last eight days,

the stock market has dropped 858 points. Wow, it's almost like Bush is still president. The economy is growing

at less than 1% gas prices are high, incomes have grown at less than 0.1%, wages

and salaries fell, and due to loss of manufacturing due to NAFTA and the

decline economy, underwear is 20% more itchy. Damn you Chinese underwear manufacturers. Americans have stopped buying cars and other big ticket items. The economy is in the toilet, the crapper, the hopper, the loo. The U.S. economy is like that creepy guy hiding in the outhouse at the yoga festival. And the government is responsible for dropping the deuce. The nutless financial turd that is this deficit deal. You know, I voted for this president, and I have never seen such a measured, calm, cautious, sane, centered response to a bunch of bullies, and it pisses me off. Obama, are you serious? You just let these guys get everything they want and you got nothing? They just walked over you, man. What the hell? hell what kind of leader are you being there's a time to stand up and get a

little pissed you know tell the punks and do strikes from both parties that you

would lead this country and they can all suck it instead you back off everything

you said and let this half-assed possible cut no tax raised no loopholes closed

committee to be formed at a later date bill go through.

And I'm sure that that committee will be sane and cooperative with each other, just like

Washington always is. And we'll all out here be laughing as Washington burns and we're living

in houses built out of cardboard and blankets. The cool thing is, the only people acting sane

are Americans. You know, the reports said that Americans have cut back on spending and saved more.

The personal savings rate rose 5.4%.

What? People aren't buying spinning rims anymore?

I mean, I don't know what it means except that the banks that won't loan us money

are now holding more of our money that they won't loan us. So it seems that the

American people have wised up and made hard choices, choices that made them a little less comfortable,
