All right Mo, you have a lot of explaining to do about this New York City of yours.

On behalf of my beautiful city, I don't get it.

I don't really get it.

Okay. I said there were a lot of highs and a lot of lows for this trip to New York which is where I'm at right now

So I came up here to visit my mom who has is suffering from dementia and also kind of try to make a family weekend out of it so

me and Courtney and Hollis came up here went to a Yankee game also but I'll get the ugly stuff

out of the way first so if you're a new Bert show listener, my mom wasn't good at

mom at all. She had three kids, gave us all the way. She'd go decades without talking to us,

and then she'd pop back into our life,

and very, very difficult to have a relationship

with her while she was a family therapist at the same time,

by the way.

So it has really been a very difficult relationship

and now that my mom has dementia,

my other two brothers haven't talked to her

for a very, very, very long time time and I'm the only one that consistently has really sort of stayed in touch with her just because of obligation more than anything else.

So I've got one brother that's trying to take care of her from up here, but I don't think he visits very much.

At least that's kind of the report that I got this weekend when I went to go visit her.

So I pop in from time to time and the

sad part about this whole thing is that I can certainly see her deteriorating

over the last couple of months.
