King Solomon was a fabulously wealthy and wise King of Israel who reined around 950 BC. It's been said that by today's standard, King Solomon

would have been worth 2.2 trillion.

Yet he wrote that true riches are found in your good name,

honorable behavior, godly wisdom, moral courage, and personal integrity.

That might be easy to say when you have 2.2 trillion dollars in the bank,

or did he realize that all the gold would one day vanish?

Our theme for this meditation from Proverbs Chapter 22 is about wealth. Not wealth defined by the world, but the eternal

wealth of heaven, divine wealth.

As we begin, know that you're safe here, surrounded by the word of God and the incarnate

word that is his son.

There's nothing to fear here, nothing to chase after. Just start by feeling

the presence of God's love and his provision. Take three deep belly breaths as your eyes drift from open to soft focus to closed.

Just rest in this place of reliance, this time of love.

In this moment of confidence in the presence of God, as the Holy Spirit transforms your mind into that of Christ.

Prepare by listening and praying through this passage from Matthew Chapter 6 and respond softly,

Heavenly Father, humility and reverence are my riches.

But first and most importantly seek and aim at and strive after his kingdom and his righteousness. Heavenly Father, humility and reverence are my riches.

His way of doing and being right, the attitude and character of God, and all these things will be given to you also.
