starting strength radio we are fortunate this week to have as our guest

dr. John Ford and John practices in California. God help him.

And he, I'm going to let him describe the nature of his practice.

He's officially, I guess, an internist.

But what do you primarily do, John?

Yeah, I, Mark.

I mean, it's a pleasure being on your show.

We've talked multiple times in the past, and I've been part of your online forum and tried to help people who have had poor interactions with other doctors, which is common.

Really common.

And my specialty is internal medicine, and I've had every type of career you can have in medicine,

really ranging from working at private hospital,

private medical groups. I've worked in emergency rooms when you didn't have to be board certified

to working at ER. I've worked as a professor at UCLA, based at Harbor, UCLA Medical Center, which is to this day

still my favorite hospital, just because it's a really fun place to work.

You see every single kind of case imaginable.

And now my career is now, I'm in the private world again,

and I'm working in really what you'd call corporate medicine.

And I manage a, I help manage a special program, which is called an ISNIP, which is a Medicare jargon

for an institutional special needs program or plan.

And I take care of the frail elderly, and my patients are all institutionalized,
