0:08.6	Lawmakers traded blame over two failed health care votes in the Senate today. ObamaCare enrollees
0:14.5	could see monthly payments soar in January, if enhanced subsidies lapse this month. Meanwhile,
0:20.2	the White House vowed to roll out a new approach on health care very soon.
0:23.6	CNN's Manu Raju is on Capitol Hill.
0:26.6	Republican leaders in the Senate and in the House furiously opposed the Affordable Care Act.
0:31.6	They want different changes to the health care law, and they certainly oppose these Obamacare subsidies that were enhanced during the COVID era that are set to expire at years end.
0:41.3	And they do not favor a straight extension of those subsidies. And that's what Democrats in the Senate put forward today, a three-year plan to extend those subsidies.
0:49.3	It failed, did not get 60 votes. They did give four Republicans to vote with the 47 Democrats,
0:55.0	but falling fall short of the 60 needed.
0:56.6	The Democrats blog a Republican plan,
0:58.7	an alternative plan as well,
0:59.9	so there's no resolution there.
