Summary

Losing a pet is gut wrenching and can be as devastating as losing a family member. In this special episode, Lo keeps it raw and real as he tackles a full range of emotions after the sudden loss of his cherished pug Dukie last week. Embracing pain while infusing sarcasm and humor, Lo invites the Lo Lifers to sit alongside him through a private grief counseling session as he grapples to make sense of it all. Joining him today is Dr. Katie Lawlor, a clinical psychologist who specializes in grief and loss with an emphasis on pets. Listen in as she gently navigates the session to ease Lo’s pain while offering coping mechanisms, tips, and excellent resources to help those grieving (or those helping someone grieve) mend their broken heart. Whether you have lost a pet recently or are the proud owner of a senior animal, this conversation is for you and provides awareness and comfort in the fact you are not alone. It is a beautiful episode dedicated to Dukie, but as all things Lo, the episode takes detours with humor, stories, and a special throwback Off The Vine confession with Kaitlyn Bristowe. You will definitely leave feeling empowered, with a smile. it feel so final. And I'm still in shock. I can't believe it. I can't believe it happened. And as I

sit here right now, I'm still in disbelief because just last week I was with little dukey

He's just the sweetest pug and he's been by my side snort and sneezing and wheezing.

1:14.8

There's my little companion since episode one of the lowlife podcast. I could not have done

1:19.6

this podcast without him. He's just been the perfect little companion and he's made his little

1:25.8

guest appearances on the podcast and he is just everything. I love him so much.

And as I sit here in my living room recording this podcast and I look where his bed was,

where he would lay and look up at me while I recorded.

This is a pain I have not felt before and it just sucks. And I've experienced loss before
