My colleague, he is a Venezuelan writer and geopolitical analyst, helping me to understand

strange remarks by the illegitimate president of Venezuela, Maduro.

And even stranger remarks by the elected president of Colombia, the neighboring

Colombia, by Gustavo Petro. On Friday last, Mr. Petro strangely denounced the United States

and urged the U.S. soldiers to disobey President Trump. Very odd statement.

Also, something about leading a Palestinian demonstration, an army, a global army to liberate Palestine,

very strange remarks, as if he didn't read the newspapers regularly, just dropped in and out.

Now there's a statement from Colombia.

He's returned to Colombia,

dismissing the U.S. decision, which has been immediate to revoke his visa. And he,

according to Reuters, accused Washington of violating international law over the criticism of Israel's war in Gaza. Petro is troubled, profoundly troubled. I've been characterizing

him as ill. Is that fair to regard these remarks as those of an ill man who doesn't know

entirely what he's doing?

Yeah, I think that's fair to say, but it's also fair to add a couple of things.

One is that his former foreign minister, Alvaro Leva, denounced publicly that Petro

consumes cocaine regularly. So he's a drug addict, and that way he's an ill man. He also drinks a lot.

He's very irresponsible. And many of this statement, he does that when he's either drug or drunk.

This is not the first time he acts so so recklessly so so imprudently other times he says

he has done that inside of Colombia this time was more scandalous because he did it in

New York and the other reason why Petro is like this, John, is because he's very much afraid that

after Maduro falls or even before that, there's going to be found the relations of Petro
