Everyone loves a good story and a good storyteller.

But there is no storyteller like the Lord Jesus,

and there are no greater stories told than the ones Jesus shared.

In this study, spiritual stories, we consider the parables Jesus told and their

application to us. These are truly the greatest stories ever told, and the Lord has something

he wants to say to you through them. Let's join Scott Pauley now.

Because the parables were directed so often at them.

I mean, like arrows.

They hit their mark every time.

And these religious people, though they were hard-hearted and didn't want to receive God,

were at least intelligent enough

and knew the scriptures well enough

to know he was speaking against them.

We come to one of those today in Matthew chapter number 21, beginning in verse number 33,

Jesus says, hear another parable.

Now let me pause just a moment and notice the word another because it's significant.

He puts parable on top of parable, more and more trying to bring

clarity, trying to bring understanding. This particular parable is really connected to the previous

parable, the one where he is speaking about the religious leaders full of their pride and their prejudice.

And he is speaking to them another parable to show yet again the evil heart, the wickedness
