Do you know that Jesus wants to meet every single one of your needs, every single day?

He wants to meet your physical needs, emotional needs, and your spiritual needs.

We know this because when he taught us to pray, in Matthew 6, he included this simple phrase that says,

Give us this day our daily bread.

As we've mentioned before, the Lord's prayer found in Matthew 6 was not just words to be repeated verbatim,

but really it was Jesus giving us a pattern to follow when we pray.

We use this pattern every day in our daily guided prayers, but it's not always so overt, so we're

doing it overtly here in this How to Pray series. And today we're going to focus on that verse,

God wants you to ask him every day what you need.

Bread represents two things.

First of all, it represents natural resources.

Think about your life right now.

What natural resources do you need?

Now take a moment, remembering that you have a father who is in heaven, and ask that heavenly

father to meet those natural resources on your behalf. God, we thank you that you are our good heavenly father,

And right now, along with my brothers and sisters today, we are

boldly asking that you would give us the resources that we need. Bread also has a second meaning.
