Do you ever find yourself carrying unnecessary baggage with you every day?

Maybe it's baggage of guilt or regret over things that you've done wrong.

Maybe it's baggage of hurt and bitterness and anger over wrongs that were done to you.

But do you know Jesus has a plan in his daily prayer

to exercise daily forgiveness so that you and I would not carry unnecessary baggage with us?

In the pattern of the Lord's Prayer that we've been looking at these past few days,

we've already talked about moments of worship, surrender, and provision. But today we're going

to look at Matthew chapter 6 and verse 12 and talk about daily forgiveness. Jesus said that when we pray, we're supposed to say, God,

forgive us the wrongs that we have done as we ourselves release forgiveness to those who have wronged

us. Daily prayer is to include daily forgiveness. So today's prayer is going to be simple. First,

we're going to receive forgiveness, and then we're going to release forgiveness. Is there anything

weighing on you? When I talked at first about the baggage you're carrying, what came to your mind?

What do you need forgiveness for?

What do you feel guilty or regretful about?

Right now, just say a simple prayer. Say Jesus, will you forgive me for? And then name what you need forgiveness for.
