Summary
As a kid, he would wake up in the middle of the night and hear something he couldn’t explain—a low sound that would rise and fall in the exact same pattern every time.
At first, he thought it was just the house. Pipes, air, something normal. But it didn’t stay in one place.
It followed him from room to room, didn’t stop when he covered his ears, and never changed its rhythm. The more it happened, the harder it was to ignore—and the harder it was to explain. Over time, it seemed to get stronger, lasting longer and becoming more noticeable.
Then one night, it came back louder than ever… and he had a strange feeling it would be the last time. And somehow, it was.
