I have no fried chicken takes as I don't eat.

That is exactly, exactly the sort of enthusiasm.

I would expect from a fellow Deadspin staff. Adler, you are a good soldier. You are running on three hours of sleep. How are you feeling? Are you ready for takes? I feel like death, but I was made for this. I was made for this. This is going to be great. It's going to be fantastic. Now, listen, we're recording this today. It's Thursday. And we don't know what's going to happen tonight at the Packers Bears game. But given what happened last weekend, we do know that the Green Bay Packers, and I think they did this officially, they asked everyone in the stands at Lambo tonight to link arms and display of unity, along with players who I assume

will also link arms during the anthem. I don't know if anyone will kneel or not.

Now, Adler, first of all, do you think people will link arms in the stands? And secondly,

do you think it's a good idea? Um, I don't know. I think if there were a fan base that might do

it, it would be the Packers because, you know, those fans are so

intensely devoted to their team. I think it's a somewhat disappointing choice. I don't necessarily

think that it's a bad choice. I just wish that this whole unity thing were kept distinctly

separate from the original protests that

Kaepernick started last year. And I think that's what I find frustrating.

It does seem, it seems like it's been co-opted a little bit and sort of watered down.

I'm of the mind that Packers fans might be more apt to join hands because they're all white. Right? There's no one. They're not, it's not like they're, they have to link up with people and like them. But then there's Packer fans too. So there's not a lot of space between that arm and like the torso, you know? It's like, it's like, like Randy in a Christmas story, like with his arms up in the air and shit like that.

I mean, if this were like a December game, it would actually be really useful and keeping warm. So I haven't checked the weather in Green Bay. I assume it's terrible. But maybe if a strong breeze comes through, people will be more inclined to share

body heat. If you were at the stadium and they asked you to link arms with a fan next to you,

would you do it? No. No, you wouldn't. If everyone else was doing it, would you give in and do it?

Um, no, because one, I don't subscribe to the messaging of this unity thing.

Two, I don't like touching people at NFL games.
