Miranda, Green, and Tim Montgomery, and Steve Richards down the line from glamorous sunny Cambridge, but also Ian Martin, who couldn't be with us last week, because Ian, you were chairing your London Defence Conference.

How does it feel? Did you have to stand on a tank at all? Or just sort of metaphorical tanks?

No, this time last week I was running around like mad,

or the brilliant team of London Defence Conference were.

Yeah, it was a very interesting couple of days.

The Prime Minister opened.

It was VE Day, the first day.

So that was the eighth of

8th of May and then we had all sorts of interesting discussions expert panels and

we also exciting we had 16 members of Congress who were in town for the for the

for the conference of bipartisan delegations which was interesting that they were, you know, making the point of coming, coming to Britain, coming to Europe on this, on that great anniversary.

Wow, so you're a bastion of Atlanticism?

Well, I still, yes, I mean, you personally, we know.

Yes.

But your conference, perhaps.

Yeah, but we'll, a lot, a wide range of countries.

We've always had a very close relationship as a conference with the Poles and with the Swedes

and with various other European partners and neighbours.

So yes, it was two days of, I've just been, you know, really, really pleased with the response, people seem to enjoy

it, and the whole point of the conference is to raise the salience of defence and elevate the
