Hey there, Jen here, and this is a happy bit.

We all know the importance of being mindful and that it really can contribute to our happiness.

But how do we create a moment of bliss right now?

Well, we have to go back and look at what we are thinking.

Our thoughts determine our feelings and our feelings drive our actions.

So everything starts with our thoughts. And I know you know this

because you've been listening to the Vibrant Happy Women podcast and we talk about it all the time.

But I have a question for you. What have you been thinking right now? What were you thinking this

morning? What were you thinking tonight? Whatever time of day you're listening.

What have you been thinking? And how did it make you feel? Every single

time you feel lousy, there's probably a negative thought that preceded it. It's crazy. So let's reverse

it right now and create a moment of bliss right now, this moment of bliss. Maybe you decide to think,

hmm, look at that blue sky and those white clouds, I am lucky to be alive.

Most likely that thought would be followed by a positive feeling. If you thought it long enough or deep

enough, at least, or maybe you think, tonight, I'm going to go lay by the pool and relax.

You can generate that feeling of bliss

right now. So next time you find yourself feeling lousy, I want to think about what thoughts

were you having before the lousy feeling? Maybe you were thinking, I'm never going to get this

work deadline done. So you were feeling stressed because you had that negative thought that

preceded it. Or maybe you're thinking, oh, I'm stuck in traffic again. I'm hitting a red light again.

That which we focus on, the feeling follows. Negativity, right?

Or, oh, I can't stand my husband. He forgot to take out the trash again. Now we have a pile of trash at the garage.
