Hey there, Jen here, and this is a happy bit. This happy bit is about identity. Let me ask you a question.

Who are you? Whoa, that's a big question for Thursday. Who are you? Who do you think you are?

Who do others say that you are? All of these thoughts form your identity. Really, in the end, your identity is formed

by your beliefs about yourself, your beliefs about what is important, what is a priority in life,

and your actions. Beliefs about yourself, beliefs about what's important and your actions,

form your identity. Well,

a lot of us want to take a new action and get a new result. For example, let's talk about

weight loss or having a budget or being more patient as a mom. We try really hard to will

ourselves to take these new actions and get these new results. But there is more to

this formula than actions and results. We need to back up and figure out what we believe about

ourselves and what we believe about our ability or inability to have that new result. Yes, we're talking about beliefs again.

Limiting beliefs or empowering beliefs. What are your beliefs about those areas?

This is a fun one to journal about. Who am I? Who do others say I am? What's important to me?

What actions am I taking? And do all those things align. Well, when they're out

of alignment, when your results and actions don't match what you'd like, you go back. And instead of

trying to use willpower to change those things, we go back and we fix our identity first.

You need to be at the core belief level, the person who can achieve those results.

That's why we use tools like affirmations and mantras, EFT tapping, EMDR therapy,

all kinds of tools that help us to literally rewire our brains so that our identity shifts
