Hey, my friends, Jen here, and this is a happy bit. I want to talk about ideas for outdoor play.

It gives us more vitamin D, the light from being outside, stimulates our pineal glands.

We develop greater distance perception with our eyes. We have opportunities to solve problems

outside. It helps with immunity and mood. In fact, studies are showing a recent study found

So how do we get our kids outside more?

Well, my big, big, big piece of advice is to make sure you have a router that can control

internet access on a per device basis.

I've said this before. It is critical. We have an ASIS router, more expensive one. I think it costs

nearly $200. And we set up set times that the kids can be using the Wi-Fi. It is the best thing

ever because they know that in the summer their screen time using the Wi-Fi. It is the best thing ever because they know that in the

summer, their screen time is from one to three. And it's easy-peasy. Now, sometimes I'll give them

a little extra at night if we're watching a family movie or my son has a date to be on the computer

with his friends. But for the most part, they're not touching the internet

between, you know, wake up time and 1 p.m. and again, after 3 p.m. And I don't have to be the bad

guy. The router is. Super easy. Okay. Well, when they're not on the screens, what do they do?

They cook. They read. And I try to kick them outside like my mom did for me.
